Pharmacist Visa Route

Eligibility requirements

• 1Pharmacy degree and completion of a supervised practice year
• 2General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration
• 3Job offer from an NHS trust, community pharmacy or private provider
• 4Minimum salary of £43,742 (NHS Band 7 equivalent) or the going rate
• 5IELTS Academic 7.0 (all bands) for GPhC registration
• 6No fitness-to-practise concerns

Step-by-step process

1. 1

   Have overseas pharmacy qualification assessed by the GPhC

   Pass the GPhC's Overseas Pharmacists Assessment Programme (OSPAP) if required

   Complete the pre-registration foundation training year

   Register with the GPhC

   Secure a job offer and obtain Certificate of Sponsorship

   Apply for Health and Care Worker visa online

   Attend biometrics and await decision
